Christchurch to the Chathams
You’ll be collected from home and transferred to the airport for your Air Chathams flight to the islands. On arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy a warm island welcome dinner

Each day offers a new adventure as we uncover the highlights of these unique islands:
Visit Admiral Gardens, Craft and Art Studio – meet local artisans and discover island creativity.
See the incredible Basalt Columns and marvel at this striking geological wonder.
Enjoy a farm visit with a picnic lunch hosted by the farm manager.
Discover the ancient Moriori Rock Carvings (optional – high fitness level required).
Visit Wharekauri Station and explore Awatotara Reserve.
Discover Owenga Harbour and Village and pay respects at the Tommy Solomon Statue, commemorating the last full-blooded Moriori.
Go fossil hunting at Te Whanga Lagoon, a fascinating and ever-changing landscape.
Explore Kaingaroa and the Ocean Mail Wetlands Reserve.
Visit Hapupu National Reserve, home to sacred Moriori tree carvings.
Walk to the only accessible seal colony on the islands.
Step back in time at Broughton Landing (1791), the site of the early whaling village.
See the Sunderland Flying Boat restoration project.
Visit the Kopinga Marae and learn about Moriori culture and traditions.
